WBB Youth FC have been raising funds to pay for a defibrillator to be installed at their club.

This is a vital piece of life-saving equipment, and Daniel Palmer (left) and Alfie Harrison (right) raised a fantastic £560.40 by doing a sponsored bike ride from MT Tums in Teigngrace to Bovey Tracey and back.

They rode an amazing 10.5 miles in just under two hours.

Daniel and Alfie from the U9s (Blues) are pictured presenting their cheque to the chairman of the club, Steve Brent.

Other children have also participated by taking part in a sponsored swim and running laps around the training pitches.

WBB YFC is self-funded and it relies heavily on volunteers to give up their spare time to enable the children to have a safe and friendly environment to develop their skills.

The club is looking for sponsors to help with kit and equipment, and if anyone would like any further information regarding this they should contact club chairman Steve Brent on 07974706819 or email [email protected].
