TEIGNMOUTH Golf Club’s 2026 senior championships were held in scorching sunshine.
50 players set out on day one and John Jackson, playing off three, produced the best round of the day with a gross 75. He was followed by Andrew Vickery (81) and John Dabin (82).
The in-form John Dabin carded the best nett score with a superb 64, from Andrew Vickery and Richard Dunn, both on 70.
It was then Pavle Srdanovic’s turn to star on day two with a gross 79 but John J’s 84 was enough to give him the overall victory on 159, claiming the Tony McHale Trophy and the title of club champion.
Pavle and Andrew were close behind on 166 apiece.
John Dabin went around in nett 74 in the second round, finishing on 138 overall and grasping the Alan Osborne Trophy, even with a 12 on one hole!
Ron Dodd (140) was his closest challenger, followed by a trio on 144.
