ASHMOOR ladies’ team went one better than last week's draw, with a resounding 4-0 away win in Plymouth.
Youngster Mary Moore scored her first ever hat trick for the club, and goal of the game was a top corner tomahawk strike from Tilly McEwen.
Moore's efforts earned her the player of the match award. Ashmoor sit in third position in Petroc Division One, although they now have no league matches for a fortnight.
Meanwhile, having drawn the previous weekend, Ashmoor Men's 2nd team were delighted to come away from a difficult game at Duchy with all three points, winning 1-0.
Captain Reuben Stanley gave them a first half lead with a trademark drag flick from a penalty corner set piece.
In the second half, they had to dig deep and weather a succession of Duchy attacks, Jake Spence in the Ashmoor goal keeping a deserved clean sheet.
Ashmoor lie in joint third position in the division, and this weekend they travel to face Devonport Services 1st XI.
In other the other league matches to be played, Ashmoor Men's 3rd team were defeated 3-1 by Exeter 3rds. Dan Green equalised for Ashmoor, but two late goals gave Exeter the win. This was despite the best efforts of Reuben Keeling in goal for Ashmoor - his display earning him the Player of the Match plaudits.
The Men"s 4th XI followed up their resounding 6-1 victory at Isca last week with a 2-2 draw with Torbay 3rds. Father & son Ricky and Harry Easthope were the scorers for Ashmoor, but twice Torbay managed to draw level.
This weekend the Men's 3rd team host Taunton Vale, whilst the 4th team are at home to Exeter Men's 4th team.
