For the second week running, Newton Abbot All Whites had to settle for a losing bonus point from another match which they could, perhaps should, have won.

Fine margins decide close games; at Cleve the width of a goal post denied Newton a win after a fightback from 19-5 down; in the mud at Rackerhayes the home side also had to come from behind but small errors denied scores when camped on the Dings line.

With both table topping Dings and third placed Newton keen to play, the pitch was passed fit and a large crowd were treated to a tense match with both sides giving their all.
