Nearly 50 youngsters took part in Newton Abbot All Whites’ latest half-term rugby camp.

The three-day event, sponsored by Stover School, provided rugby experience for boys and girls aged five to 15.

Organiser Phil Burford praised his team of coaches for providing interesting and informative sessions for all attendees.

The coaching group, a combination of past and current players, was Lewys Ryan, Joe Burford, Ben Cole, Aaron Smith, Jamie Rooke, Molly Hann and Ashley Smith.

The youngsters learned about all aspects of the game, including passing, tackling, team work and fitness.

The first two days were spent in winter sunshine at the club in Newton Abbot, with the final day on the rugby pitches at Stover School, where the children got suitably wet and muddy before end of camp presentations in front of family and friends!

One child from each age group was chosen by their coach and presented with a rugby ball and a school umbrella to reward them for their excellence in participation, behaviour and progress.
