BRIXHAM Sharks were defeated for the first time this season in the SD&T Table Tennis top-flight, going down 4-6 against Newton Abbot Eagles.

Torbay Academy One recovered from 4-1 down to share the points with NA Condors and Torre Vikings are setting the pace in the second division following their 8-2 victory over Halwell B.

Maximums from David Davies and Peter Chadwick saw Teignmouth Aces to a 9-1 win over Brixham Gulls. There were several all

Torbay Academy teams clashed this week- Academy Two defeated Academy Three, 7-3, Melisha Anthony starring with a fine maximum in her first match for the club.

Teignmouth Peers are top of the tree in the third division, another Blake Bellham maximum helping them to an 8-2 victory over TA Four.

Colin Harrop was undefeated as the Taverners started their campaign with a 7-3 victory over NA Harriers. Olivia Rutkowska and Oliver Luscombe were both undefeated as TA Five beat TA Six, 9-1.

NA Ospreys continued their fine start to the season with a 7-3 victory over NA Vultures, but they could not defeat Attila Usztics who won all three for the Vultures.

In another all-Torbay Academy clash a Marco Pilloni maximum helped his Academy Seven team defeat Academy Eight.

Lastly, David Sanders was unbeaten for Teignmouth Titans (pictured) but they were the only points the Titans got as they went down 7-3 to NA Merlins.
