FIRE crews from Ashburton and Buckfastleigh were called to tackle a kitchen blaze in Totnes on Monday.
They were joined by colleagues from Torquay and Paignton after smoke filled a first floor flat in the town.
Two jets were used to extinguish the fire caused by a saucepan of food left on a cooker.
The alarm was raised just before 5pm.
