A STARTING pistol has been handed in to police after being found by a dog walker in Teignmouth.
The blank-firing gun was picked up at Little Haldon Heath, prompting a visit from police - including a scenes-of-crime officer.
The discovery was made last Tuesday.
A police spokesman said: ‘If anyone has information that could help us identify the owner of the starter pistol they are asked to call 101, quoting log 442 of January 9.’
