A LORRY fire which caused delays on Telegraph Hill this morning (Friday, September 11) has now been dealt with and the road has been cleared.

The incident was reported at around 10.30am and caused disruption for motorists travelling northbound towards Exeter.

Traffic had been queuing between the B3192 Colley Lane junction and Great Haldon while emergency services attended the scene.

The partial road blockage has now been cleared, with traffic beginning to move more freely through the area.

Drivers are still advised to approach with caution and allow extra time for their journeys while congestion eases.

The cause of the fire and whether anyone was injured have not yet been confirmed.

The Mid-Devon Advertiser has contacted Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service for more information.
