ANOTHER big fall in the number of Covid cases has been recorded in Teignbridge.

The latest government figures show that between May 12 and 18, 102 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows a decrease of -31.5% compared to the previous seven days.

Between the same dates there has been one death within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

The Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports there were 11 patients in hospital with coronavirus on May 10, none of them was on a mechanical ventilator.

The number of tests being taken continues to fall since restrictions and free testing were stopped at the start of April.

Between May 11 and 17, there have been 5,701 tests in Teignbridge. This shows a decrease of -10.9% compared to the previous seven days.
