Teignmouth couple Sarah Davies and Mark Pearce had a festive season to remember with the birth of their first child on Christmas Day.

William Tony Pearce arrived at 12.08am weighing 7lb 7oz. 'I was home for Christmas Day afternoon,' said proud mum Sarah, who owns Dawlish hairdressing salon Cutting Edge. 'We named him William as that's a family name on Mark side and Tony is my dad's name. Our baby was born on his due date and he is doing well, he's feeding well and is a hungry boy.' The new parents, who live near Woodway Road, celebrated Christmas a day late. 'We had our big dinner on Boxing Day and we now feel like we are catching up.'
