A Teignmouth charity is asking for volunteer drivers to help transport guests to and from its Christmas Day lunch.

The Alice Cross Centre hosts a festive meal at 12 noon on Christmas Day for local residents who would otherwise be spending the day alone.

The annual event provides a hot meal, company and festive cheer but the charity urgently needs volunteer drivers to ensure nobody misses out on what could be the highlight of their Christmas.

Volunteer drivers, who must have a clean driving licence and insurance, would need to pick people up from around Teignmouth late morning and and then take them home again at around 2.30pm
