New volunteers are needed to join the team at Teignmouth’s Children’s Hospice South West shop.
The shop in Bank Street sells women’s, men’s and children’s clothing and accessories to raise money for the charity, which supports babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
It’s open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
Various roles are available including creating eye-catching displays, sorting stock and serving customers.
Volunteer shop worker Zelah said: “I have been volunteering in the CHSW Teignmouth shop for over nine years now, ever since they've opened in the town.
“It's a really happy atmosphere and I love being on the till where I get to see our regular customers as well as the visitors to the town.
“Do come and join us, it's a great place to volunteer and help support our amazing hospices.”
Shop manager Bridget said: “Our volunteers are absolutely essential to keeping the shop running.
“Each day is different and you meet so many lovely and interesting customers, all while supporting such an amazing charity that cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
“If you can spare some time each week to help, it would be so appreciated.”
She said volunteers can choose hours that suit them, and will benefit from learning new skills, meeting new people and becoming part of a team that makes a difference to the community.
