TWO Teignbridge fire appliances were called out this evening (May 31st) to reports of a large dumper truck on fire near Ashburton
One fire engine from Ashburton and another from Buckfastleigh were sent to the scene at Broadhempston just after 6.30pm.
A Fire Service spokesman said: : The incident involved a small fire in the engine compartment of the dumper truck. This proved to be out on arrival, and the crews inspected the scene."
The cause of the fire was accidental.
