A KINGSTEIGNTON man has pleaded guilty to driving while over the drug-drive limit and to possessing cannabis.

Stuart William John Chapple, aged 32, of Priscott Way, admitted driving a Renault Trafic van at Ashcombe when the amount of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood – not less than 5.5 UGS – exceeded the limit.

He also admitted driving a Renault Trafic van at Ashcombe when the amount of Benzoylecgonine in his blood – not less than 74 UGS – exceeded the limit.

South and West Devon Magistrates' Court gave him an interim driving ban and adjourned the case to July 6 for pre-sentence reports to be prepared.

Chapple also admitted possessing 1.02 grammes of cannabis at Ashcombe.
