AN APPEAL has gone out for volunteers to help at the next Dawlish Fix Fest. 

The next repair cafe will take place on Saturday, June 17, at the Strand Centre in Dawlish as part of The Great Big Green Week event.

One of the organisers, Alison Foden, has launched an urgent appeal for more volunteers to help out by giving their skills for a few hours on the day.

She said: ‘Are you able to help please, for example to help repair a wooden chair, or a bike?  

‘Or if you know anyone who would be able to, please let me know.  

‘By repairing and re-using we can help the planet, by reducing waste and the need for new materials.’

The event aims to help with repairs to digital, IT, electrics, sewing and welding.

Refreshments will be available at the event which will run from 10am to 12.30. Anyone who can help with repairs can contact [email protected]
