LEGAL action is being taken against a Teignbridge dairy following an outbreak of food poisoning.

But Dunn's Dairy at Beacon View Farm, Drewsteignton, denies liability for the infection.

The dairy is fighting the legal action and says no harmful bacteria were found on the premises.

However, lawyers are representing 11 people who suffered gastric symptoms, with several confirmed cases of the bug campylobacter.

Law firm Irwin Mitchell allege the illness occurred after the people consumed milk and cream products from the dairy and have launched a civil claim for compensation.
