MEMBERS of St Gregory’s Church in Dawlish are gearing up to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

They are preparing a flower festival which will run from June 1 to 4.

Spokesman Margaret Noel said: ‘We hope to show how St Gregory’s has changed in those 70 years and how the church has been part of so many people’s lives through, baptism, weddings, choir, bell ringing, Sunday school and activities, during the Queen Elizabeth’s reign.’

She said the church is looking for photos, anecdotes, or stories of events, that the residents of Dawlish may have of life in the church over years and be willing to let them display them during the exhibition.

If anyone has anything to contribute to the exhibition, organisers would like to have items for display before May 20.
