ROCK band Muse were spotted taking a cruise on the Teign yesterday as part of the Shaldon Regatta festivities.

Frontman of the Teignmouth band Matt Bellamy was videoed having a little row while his pal Dominic Howard was splashing around on another boat.

The band returned to their old stomping ground to tackle the Regetta’s rowing race and worked up such a thirst they darted for the pub.

Punters at the Ferry Boat Inn, Shaldon, grabbed their cameras and posed for a photo with the stars.

One of the Regatta’s organisers said the band were great sports and rocked up without shorts and rowing gloves and had to borrow some.

Muse won’t have much time for a well-earned rest in the area as they are off to perform at Reading festival this weekend.
