A NEW show, presented by Viv Wilson MBE at Teignmouth Pavilions has been planned for Saturday, Feb 11 at 2.30pm..
The two-hour programme explores a huge collection of images and short videos of Teignmouth over the past 120 years, the majority of which have not been seen by the public before.
Topics included are the ‘Workhouse’ era, schools, famous visitors and prominent locals, such as the coastguards of the past. Significant buildings looked at will include Crownwell House at the recently closed Devon Holiday Village, a unique Victorian dwelling that has an unexpected feature.
Viv will also feature the Teignmouth Cup in a bid to track down its current whereabouts, believed to be Australia. It has more significance than people realise and it’s time its story became more widely known.
With one month to go, more than one-third of the seats are already booked. When asked about her retirement, Viv says has no intention to slow down, adding that she expects to stay in harness for the duration!
