NEWTON Abbot YFC held a charity pig racing evening in aid of the Dartmoor rescue group, writes Anneliese Retallick.
The evening consisted of sponsoring and betting on pigs, refreshments including Cornish pasties and a raffle!
They said: ‘We had around 60 people join us for this fun filled evening where £350 was made!
‘Thank you to Adrian Byng for providing us with the entertainment! It was great to seen the community of Ilsington join young farmers for an evening of great cause.
‘We have a busy week coming up at the Devon County Show this week, we have club exhibits in the young farmers tent, we have tag rugby players in the main ring and we have stockjudgers competing on the Saturday! We wish our members the best success!’
