Brian Heath a member of the trust is asking for residents of the town who may have information that can prove either way to get in touch.
The group are against the overdevelopment of the Lawn and believe that the district council may have no right to build on or sell any of the land as it does not belong to them as it may have been handed back to the people of Dawlish by a local group who bought it in the late 1800s.
Brian has some information on the history of the Lawn but would like to hear from anybody that may have official papers or contracts to do with the sale of the land or the handing of it to the people of Dawlish.
He believes that perhaps a retired solicitor or relatives may have the information he needs.
