VOLUNTEERS from the Royal National Lifeboat Institute were called into action on Easter Sunday to aid in rescue a group of people whose boat had encountered engine failure.
Teignmouth RNLI volunteers were scrambled on Sunday, April 9, by the Coastguard for an incident involving a broken down vessel.
After establishing a tow line the crew from The Two Anne’s, the Atlantic Class 85 lifeboat, brought the stricken vessel to the safety of the harbour.
The vessel, which had suffered engine failure, was carrying four people, all of whom were rescued successfully; the shore crew then cleaned down the lifeboat, refuelling the vessel such that it was ready for service again.
