UNSEASONAL weather failed to put a damper on Teignmouth’s annual carnival last week.
Despite the unseasonal wind and rain, the town pulled out all the stops to enjoy the seven day festival of fun.
The week-long event carried on through rain and shine with everything from pebble painting to talent and dog shows, plus an abundance of live music to keep both residents and visitors to the town happy.
The main event was the carnival procession last Thursday evening, for which the weather remained kind, and saw a cavalcade of colourful floats, walking entries and bucket collectors wind their way through the town once judging of entries had been completed on The Den.
The evening culminated with a fantastic firework display
Organisers of the event have thanked everyone, sponsors, participants and the people of Teignmouth, who turned out to support the event, saying that as a community the town should be proud of such an event.
