Teignbridge's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

A38, from 7pm October 6 to 6am October 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Chudleigh - lane closure for horticultural works.

A30, from 9pm October 6 to 6am October 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 30 to junction 31 lane closure for electrical works.

A38, from 7pm October 7 to 6am October 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Chudleigh - lane closure for horticultural works.

A38, from 7pm October 7 to 6am October 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Dartbridge to Goodstone lane closure for resurfacing.

A38, from 7pm October 7 to 6am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Goodstone entry slip and Linhay exit slip closures including exit and entry for local, junction Alston Cross with convoy working for Horticultural works, Goodstone entry diversion via - A383, Old Hill Bickington, Coldeast and rejoin A38 at Drumbridges, Linhay exit slip diversion via - A38 westbound to Peartree, junction and return. Alston Cross entry via local roads.

A38, from 8pm October 7 to 4am October 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Pearces Hill to Wobbly Wheel - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

A30, from 7pm October 8 to 6am October 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions Alphington to Fingle Glen - lane closures for Horticultural works.

A38, from 7pm October 15 to 6am October 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Linhay entry slip closure including exit and entry for local, junction Alston Cross with convoy working for Horticultural works, diversion via - A38 westbound to Peartree, junction and return. Alston Cross entry via local roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
