Teignbridge's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

A30, from 8pm May 31 to 6am June 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A30 westbound, Woodleigh entry slip road carriageway closure for inspections, diversion via A30 eastbound to Fingle Glen and return.

A38, from 8pm May 31 to 6am June 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Ashburton, Linhay, junction exit slip road closure and convoy working for resurfacing, diversion via A38 eastbound to Goodstone and return.

A30, from 8pm May 31 to 6am June 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A30 westbound, Cheriton Cross to Whiddon Down mobile lane closures for inspections.

A38, from 7pm June 5 to 6am June 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Drumbridges entry slip lane closure for 3rd party tree removal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
