TEIGNMOUTH singing star Luke Friend headed for home in between rehearsing for tomorrow's final of television's X Factor show.

Fans were cheering at the family home in the resort as he arrived to meet his family.

Preparations are well under way for the final.

The 17-year-old Coombeshead Academy, Newton Abbot, student found himself in the bottom two at the weekend and it was thanks only to the public vote that he got through to the last three.

Tomorrow night he will perform a duet with Ellie Goulding and then his solo performance will be Fun's We are Young.

If he makes it through to Sunday night, he will be singing the One Direction hit What Makes You Beautiful, which won rave reviews from the judges.
