After beating Teignmouth 3-0 in in the previous Saturday's top of the table clash, it was the turn of third-placed Dart 2 to host the Ashmoor girls.
The Ashburton side got off to a flyer when Tullia Turner pounced on a rebound off the keeper's pads to put her team ahead inside three minutes
Dart then equalised when a short corner took a deflection past debutant keeper Trudy Channon.
Rachel Simmons then put Ashmoor ahead and Sue Hutchings made it three from a penalty corner.
The second half was a tale of the two keepers. While Channon only had to make one save, the Dart custodian was called into action on numerous occasions to keep Ashmoor at bay, before Sue Hutchings scored the only goal of the second period.
l Ashmoor's U15 boys were in action in the second round of the England Hockey Plate, against Plymouth Marjons.
Ashmoor piled on the pressure from the start, but it was Plymouth who took the lead when they broke away and a shot was deflected in past stranded keeper Jordan Teague.
The Ashmoor pressure eventually paid off, when Jon Wright fired in a shot from the top of the circle, followed by a goal from a penalty corner.
Jack Simmons added another, also from a penalty corner, before George Kohler made it four courtesy of a goal mouth scramble.
Numerous saves and near misses came and went, and Ashmoor almost let Plymouth back in the game in the final ten minutes with some sloppy marking, the 4-3 scoreline somewhat flattering the visitors.
l Ashmoor's U12 team played their second round of Devon League matches, drawing with Plymouth Marjon 2-2, with goals from Jamie Bishop and Jacob Clapham, and with Isca B 1-1, the goal coming from Freddie Fincham. The B team lost their matches to Isca A and Ivybridge.
l Disappointingly Teignmouth and ECV Hornets failed to show for the U10 league and the Ashmoor youngsters were left only to play Isca and each other
