ILSINGTON Bowls Club are celebrating winning the inaugural 2025 Ladies Triples Challenge competition.

Altogether six clubs from around South Devon participated, with each match consisting of two triples, with skills being tested on both grass and carpet surfaces.

The clubs besides Ilsington in the competition were Ipplepen, Bovey Tracey, Kingsteignton, Dawlish Marina and FastTots (Totnes and Buckfastleigh combined) and it was Dawlish Marina who finished as the worthy runners-up.

Ilsington used a squad of fifteen players, who shared in achieving the success. For many it was their first experience of playing in an organised competition and this is first ever league competition victory for the club as well.

It is hoped that the newly established competition will expand to eight clubs for the 2026 season.
