BRITISH Dressage is pleased to announce that Olivia Luscombe (15) from near Exeter, Devon, has been named as one of 12 riders selected to the British Dressage National Academy, funded by Sport England.

The National Academy provides selected athletes with nine months of training activity and support from British Dressage and external industry professionals, funded by Sport England. The aim of the National Academy programme is to aid the holistic development of individuals demonstrating the potential for future success in the equestrian industry.

Olivia has been selected for her first National Academy term from a pool of 40 young riders from across Britain who attended the British Dressage Foundation Academy training camps from October to December 2025.

On earning selection, Olivia has demonstrated outstanding progress in the competition arena, successfully implementing training plans; whilst also proving dedication to improving elements out of the saddle, including strength and conditioning, athlete profiling, goal setting and performance planning.

Olivia's top achievement to date is winning the Advanced Medium title at the 2025 Regional Championships held at Bicton Arena; this saw her progress to the BD National Championships where she earned great experience with her ride Eternal Kiss.

Olivia hopes to broaden her training and learn from new coaches, with the ultimate goal of competing internationally at Junior level.
