RISING cycling star Bayley Woodger, made an impressive mark at the 59th European Junior Tour held in Assen, Netherlands.

With over 100 top youth riders taking part across five stages, for Bayley to kick off the week in style and finish second in the Green Sprint Jersey competition was quite something.

His strong performance continued with a brilliant 7th-place finish in stage two, as he climbed the standings.

Stage three, a demanding hill course, saw Bayley hold onto second in the sprint standings while remaining with the main GC contenders.

The pressure mounted in stage four’s individual time trial, where Bayley gave a solid ride, finishing 26th overall.

In the final stage, a fast and technical circuit, Bayley showed remarkable grit and race craft.

Navigating narrow roads and fierce competition, he claimed sprint points in all three intermediate challenges, finishing the race in third place overall in the green jersey standings and 25th in the general classification.
