Stover gave South Devon League debuts to Adrian Hewings and junior member Ollie Amos for their latest home fixture, against Churston.

Amos is just 13 years of age and after a great start to the season is already playing off a handicap of 11. The match had an unusually early start due to the World Cup match being played later that day.

It was Hewings and recently crowned nett club champion Andy Livingstone out first for the hosts. After a fast start the home pair looked in control. However, a late rally took the opening point back to the visitors.

Amos showed no debut nerves as he and partner Danny Greenberry dominated match two. Always ahead, the Stover pair had a convincing 5&4 win.

Stover went on to win the the match by four-and-a-half games to two-and-a-half.
