NEWTON Abbot RFC 1st XV have confirmed their fixtures ahead of a new season in the Counties One Western West division.

Lloyd Radford is the new man in charge with the club’s legendary player now taking on the coaching baton from the departing Steve Perry.

Radford’s maiden game at the helm sees the All Whites visit Camborne 2nd XV on Saturday, September 12.

The Cornish side are one of three additions to the league after they topped the Counties Two Cornwall division, winning 18 of 20 matches and amassing a whopping 90 points.

In a matter of symmetry, the two will go toe-to-toe on the final day of the season as well.

Also entering the fray are Devonport Services 2nd XI, the Counties Two Devon champions, who also won 18 games and racked up 97 points in the process.

Devonport are Newton Abbot’s guests at Rackerhayes on October 24 whilst the reverse fixture takes place on February 13.

Cullompton are the third and final change to the landscape- they took on Teignmouth in the Regional Two South West relegation game and came out second best.

This aforementioned trio are replacing league winners Wiveliscombe and the relegated duo, Penryn and Plymstock Oaks.

After that opener against Camborne, the All Whites have their first home fixture with St Ives coming to town.

A derby clash away at Torquay follows before Radford’s men then kickstart October against Truro.

Their other league fixtures are: Barnstaple IIs away (Oct 17), Cullompton away (Oct 31), Kingsbridge home (Nov 7), Redruth IIs away (Nov 21), Paignton away (Dec 5), Saltash home (Dec 12), St Ives (Dec 19), Torquay home (Jan 9), Barnstaple IIs home (Jan 16), Truro away (Jan 30), Cullompton home (Feb 6), Devonport IIs away (Feb 13), Kingsbridge away (Feb 27), Redruth IIs home (Mar 6), Paignton home (Mar 20) and Saltash away (Apr 4).
