Three Newton Abbot swimmers – Daisy Haslam Ivens (left), Libby Wray (centre) and Georgianna Thorn – were invited to take part in the annual ASA South West Gloucester Fast Five competition.

In order to take part, they had to swim in recent regional swimming events for their age groups.

The Fast Five competition comprises four x 50m races in every stroke and then a 100 individual medley (IM).

It proved a good day for the trio with Georgie clocking a five-second pb in the backstroke; Daisy did an eight-second pb in the IM and a five-second pb in the breaststroke and one second pb for fly; Libby won the breaststroke for her age group.
