Teignbridge District Council will officially reopen its Broadmeadow Leisure Centre in Teignmouth on Thursday July 24 following a £3.7 million redevelopment.

The redevelopment, which started in September 2024, includes refurbished changing facilities, extended studio space, a new accessible entrance and reception area, extended gym areas with new equipment, and decarbonisation works to make the centre more environmentally friendly.

‘After months of hard work and a huge investment, we're getting ready to open the doors to a bigger, better and greener Broadmeadow than ever before,’ a Teignbridge spokesperson said.

An official opening ceremony will take place at 10am on Thursday July 24 followed by tours of the new facilities. Bookings to use the centre will be open from 12 noon.
