TRADERS in Dawlish are getting in the Christmas spirit.

The festive preparations involve members of the Dawlish Chamber of Trade decorating the town’s shops and businesses.

Over the next few weeks, members of the Chamber and volunteers from the community will be wrapping almost 100 Christmas trees in fairy lights.

They will be seen around the town decorating the trees which are outside shops and businesses.

And they will be wearing fetching new hi-vis vests.

A chamber spokesman said: ‘Over the next few weeks, some really exciting things are going to start happening ahead of Christmas.

‘Every year this fantastic group of volunteers put in lots of effort to make sure our town looks extra festive, so if you see these helpful Christmas Elves, wearing their fancy new hi-vis vests then please do stop and say Merry Christmas.’
