Two new Teignmouth Lifeboat recruits can now respond to call outs after receiving their Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) pagers.

Will Annal and Will Burton Junior were officially presented with the devices by lifeboat operations manager Andy Lilburn at last week’s volunteer crew meeting.

‘It’s a big step in the trainee programme and it means both are now ready to respond whenever the pager goes off,’ a spokesperson from Teignmouth Lifeboat Station said.

‘On behalf of everyone at Teignmouth RNLI, well done to you both. We’re proud to have you on the team,’ the spokesperson added.

Will Annal joined Teignmouth Lifeboat Station as a trainee volunteer crew member at the start of the summer. He took part in his first official shout last month.
