Teddies will be tumbling from the top of the tower at All Saints in Kenton next Saturday (August 30) to raise money for the church’s Give to Go Green appeal.

The soft toys will be kitted out in home-made parachutes and launched from the tower with prizes awarded for the most stylish jump and the bear that travels the furthest.

Participants that aren’t confident in making their bears a parachute can take part in a parachute-making workshop at the church from 1.30pm.

It costs £5 per teddy to take part and the event, which starts at 2pm, is aimed at raising money to improve All Saints’ heating and lighting in the second phase of the church’s Give to Go Green campaign. All funds raised will be matched by the Church of England.
