NEWTON Abbot RFC shot up to fifth in the Western Counties table following a 62-26 home win over Redruth Quins.
Hooker Jack Sealey finished with four tries as Newton Abbot posted 60 points-plus for the first time since beating Honiton 71-17 back in March 2022.
The All Whites had the four-try bonus point secured in a 22-7 halftime lead and were 48-7 up before a two-try burst by Redruth made the scoreline more respectable.
Jed Griffin (2), Lloyd Radford, Ian Milton, Ben Rockey and Owen McLeod were Newton Abbot's other try scorers. Jacob Forey kicked the goals.
This victory, a third of the league campaign, has Newton tied with Kingsbridge and Plymstock Oaks on 16 points apiece.
Ahead of that trio are two sides on 21pts with Redruth next on 22 and Wiveliscombe leading the way with 25.
The All Whites have no league game this Saturday at 1st XV level.
